  Privacy and Personal Data Processing Policy

    1. Introduction

This "Privacy and Personal Data Processing Policy" stipulates and explains the rights and obligations laid down by the new General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
As part of its regular business activities, PLASGAL – Produção de Embalagens, Lda, headquartered in EN.242, Carreira d’Água – Barosa, 2400-016 Leiria, Portugal, with the TIN 500219419, needs to collect specific personal data on a regular basis. The present Privacy and Personal Data Processing Policy explains how we process the personal data we collect to establish or maintain commercial and employee relationships.
Processing of personal data means any operation performed upon personal data, whether or not by automatic means, such as the collection, recording, organisation, storage, consultation, use, disclosure or any other means of releasing information, erasure or destruction of data.

    2. Personal Data Collection

We collect the data necessary to conduct our normal business operations, such as managing sales and establishing contracts with our clients, employees, suppliers and service providers, including the data provided to PLASGAL through applications and requests for quotations; and we process such data whenever required to fulfil our legal obligations.
The personal data we collect is obtained with the data subjects' wilful, definite, informed and explicit consent, through a declaration of consent or an unequivocal positive act, and processed for the purpose of conducting our normal business operations.
PLASGAL respects every person's right to privacy and will not collect any personal data without the data subject's prior and explicit consent. The personal data we collect will not be reused for other purposes not previously identified, nor for purposes unrelated to that for which the data were initially collected.
 
 
     3. Personal Data Protection

The collected data are processed and stored electronically and in paper, whenever needed.
We undertake to ensure the safety and protection of all personal data provided to us. For that purpose, we adopt the necessary measures and best practises, such as protecting access to data with passwords, restricting electronic access to data by creating employee user profiles, restricting physical access to the spaces where the personal data are stored, using firewalls, among other specific procedures to ensure data protection.
Our security measures are regularly revised and updated according to the legal requirements in force.
If, for any reason, there is a breach of safety leading to the accidental or unlawful destruction, loss, alteration, unauthorised disclosure or access to personal data, we undertake to, according to the applicable law, report the situation to the competent authorities, when possible, within 72 hours after becoming aware of the occurrence. The data subject will also be informed of the potential violation, as per the applicable legislation.
 
    4. Sharing of Personal Data

In the exercise of its regular business activities, PLASGAL may hire third-party services, and such entities may need to access the personal data collected by PLASGAL.
If such access is ever required, PLASGAL undertakes to adopt all appropriate measures at its disposal to ensure such entities guarantee the control and protection of the data, and PLASGAL will remain responsible, in solidarity, for processing the data.
 
    5. Exercise of the rights provided for in the GDPR

As per the provisions of the GDPR, the data subject may exercise their rights of access, rectification, portability, opposition and erasure of their data.
In case of doubt or so that we can apply any of those rights, contact PLASGAL at geral@plasgal.pt, with your request and unequivocal proof of identity indicating that you are the data subject.
 
 
   6. Time limits for personal data storage

The collected data will be stored and used by PLASGAL for the necessary period to fulfil the purposes for which they were initially collected. PLASGA also keeps data after the end of a commercial or contractual relationship, within the legal terms and until the fulfilment  of the legal obligations to which such relationships are subject.
PLASGAL will store all curricula vitae until the filling of a vacancy, until the data subject exercises the right to erase their data or until the Human Resources Department considers them out-of-date (1 year at most).

By using our website, you agree with our Privacy Policy.
PLASGAL's website includes links (internal and external) intended to perfect and facilitate the navigation and provide users with easier access to the information they seek. We cannot take any responsibility for any external link included on our website.
